Grado Prestige Gold 4 Testina per giradischi
Grado Gold4
The Grado Gold4 represents the absolute pinnacle of performance within Grado Labs’ renowned Prestige Series. Built on decades of design expertise and refinement, this phono cartridge delivers a balanced and deeply musical reproduction. Furthermore, it maintains the consistency and reliability that have always defined Grado cartridges.
Thanks to the proven moving iron technology, the Gold4 provides a stable and responsive signal, characterised by an extremely low moving mass. As a result, the injection-moulded body ensures precise and consistent construction while allowing the internal components to operate with maximum accuracy. Therefore, being available in both standard mount and P-mount configurations, the Gold4 adapts to a wide range of turntables and systems.
Sound Performance
Above all, the Gold4 is a high-output moving iron cartridge specifically designed to be compatible with a wide range of phono stages. Its sonic signature stands out for clarity, control, and refinement. In particular, detail is reproduced with precision, while the high frequencies remain consistently smooth and composed. In addition, the midrange conveys natural presence and texture; at the same time, the low frequencies are delivered with definition and authority. As a result, even the most complex recordings are handled with stability and separation, allowing the authentic character of the music to emerge.
Diamond, Cantilever and Stylus
Regarding the pickup assembly, the Gold4 features a bonded elliptical diamond mounted on an aluminium cantilever. Thanks to the elliptical profile, it achieves effective groove contact and reliable tracking performance. Furthermore, the stylus is user-replaceable, allowing simple maintenance and long-lasting ownership. Likewise, all Prestige Series styli are interchangeable, offering great flexibility between different models.
Moving Iron Design and Internal Structure
All Grado cartridges use the moving iron design based on Joseph Grado’s patented flux-bridger principle. This allows the cartridge to generate a precise signal with minimal moving mass, while the coil structure remains fixed. Finally, the internal signal path uses ultra-high-purity 5N OCC copper; in addition, each unit undergoes cryogenic treatment and internal damping to reduce unwanted resonances and preserve signal integrity.
