I work for a very audio quality-demanding record label and you can believe me when I say that I know some of our rather famous records better than note after note.
I've started to discover hidden notes in this music I know so well since I received this little (so little) wonder.
It replaces a powerful and, in my book, honest sound-wise 2x120W amp with no problem at all. So, of course the volume knob is at least at 12 o'clock. And you need speakers at 88dB sensitivity or above. Mine are 90dB but neither famous nor amazing.
But the trends ta 10 does the trick. I am listening to it right now and it is loud, not painful loud, not concert hall loud but loud enough to be very much enjoyable.
You will not believe your ears. There's nothing more to it.
I don't understand the basics of tripath amplification or of this amp, but the thing is, it's unbelievably good sound.
Just buy it, you'll thank yourself.
