Audiobyte SuperVOX Balanced DAC
Audiobyte SuperVOX Multibit DSD D/A Converter
At Audiobyte, we are committed to going beyond conventional approaches, and our new SuperVOX DAC is no exception.
After years of research and hands-on experience with nearly every available conversion technology, we developed a unique multilevel delta-sigma architecture. Designed with obsessive attention to short and precise signal paths and equipped with an advanced audio clock management engine, the SuperVOX delivers a distinctive and unmistakable sonic signature.
For the SuperVOX, we integrated the most powerful FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) ever used in an Audiobyte device, developing proprietary hardware-definition code alongside a dual cluster of high-performance switching arrays.
The result is a device that surpasses the sonic limitations of commercially available conversion chips without resorting to extremely expensive ladder architectures, achieving an extraordinary level of immersion and realism in sound reproduction.
CONVERSION TECHNOLOGY
One of the key technologies that sets the SuperVOX apart is its proprietary intersymbol interference mitigation techniques, combined with custom hardware refined through thousands of hours of testing.
DACs rely on reconstruction filters — low-pass filters — to create a continuous analog waveform from discrete digital samples. However, imperfections in filtering or timing misalignment can cause previous samples to “bleed” into subsequent ones, generating intersymbol interference.
The result is a form of distortion that reduces the accuracy of the analog signal compared to the original digital data.
To counteract this phenomenon and maintain exceptional precision and audio fidelity, we employ structures that resemble ladder architectures but are, in reality, high-performance arrays composed of equal-value elements.
This innovative design enables, among other things, extremely low noise levels without relying on aggressive filtering, preserving the music’s natural dynamics and depth.
AUDIO ARCHITECTURE
The SuperVOX is fully balanced and incorporates our most advanced clocking solutions, derived from flagship-level products, ensuring outstanding timing precision and virtually jitter-free playback.
The discrete output stage is engineered for maximum transparency.
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Like the rest of the Super Series, the SuperVOX is housed in a custom chassis machined from a solid block of aluminum, CNC-crafted, micro-sandblasted, and anodized.
The result is a construction that feels both luxurious and technical, perfectly aligned with its elite-level performance.
With the SuperVOX, we aimed to exceed expectations within this price category, blurring the line between luxury high-end audio and desktop accessibility: a DAC that is as technically advanced as it is emotionally engaging.
