Sonnet Digital Audio I2S/HDMI Module

I²S is the best-sounding and most transparent connection method we know for digital audio.

This new module connects to our DAC products and can be installed by the user. You can switch to I²S over LVDS when your streamer or transport supports this interface. Installation is essentially a Plug and Play procedure; as with all electronic devices, when placing the module, touch and hold the chassis of your DAC to avoid static discharge. Also, make sure to properly align the LVDS connector with the cutout in the rear panel.

The new module includes jumpers to adjust data pin polarity if needed.

With the 4 onboard jumpers, you can switch the left and right channels (LRCLK jumpers) and the polarity of the audio signal (SDATA jumpers).

The image attached below shows which jumper settings to use before installing the module. If your brand is not listed, start with the 1A, 2B, 3A, 4B setting. You can then switch the channels (1B, 2A) or the audio signal polarity (3B, 4A) using the jumpers.

Since the introduction of the CD, a lot has changed, but the I²S interface specification has remained the same. Although there is no international standard for I²S connections, the LVDS connector is widely used and versatile.
