Grado GW100x are the manufacturer’s first wireless headphones. New driver

The Grado GW100x feature a new 44 mm driver, redesigned housings, and support for the aptX Adaptive codec, improving overall performance. It’s worth noting that aptX is a high-quality Bluetooth codec.

Grado’s 4th-generation drivers are perfectly matched to the GW100x wireless design. This new driver features a more powerful magnetic circuit, a voice coil with reduced effective mass, and a reconfigured diaphragm. The redesign of these 44 mm drivers improves efficiency, reduces distortion, and preserves the harmonic integrity of your music.

Functional aesthetics

The design philosophy of the Grado GW100x prioritizes functionality over showmanship, maintaining a clean and essential aesthetic. The lightweight design includes practical features such as an integrated microphone for voice calls, a durable adjustment mechanism, both wired and wireless connectivity options, and an impressive battery life of up to 46 hours at 50% volume.

Charging and signal reception

Charging is handled via a USB-C connector, bringing the GW100x in line with modern charging standards. The updated chipset allows more data to be transferred from the source device to the headphones, preserving audio quality for faithful, high-fidelity reproduction while maintaining a stable connection.

A milestone

The Grado GW100x are the world’s first open-back Bluetooth headphones. The driver housings and internal structure have been designed from scratch and now work together to significantly reduce sound leakage by up to 60%.
