FiiO R9 is an ultimate-level desktop streamer that comes with a high-end Dual ES9038Pro DAC chipset along with 8-channel THX788+ high-power amplification. It’s the ultimate powerful with up to 7300mW(around 7W) output level through the balanced headphone outputs. FiiO R9 comes loaded with Android 10 which is upgradable to Android 12 for easy access to the latest media applications.

The DAC section on the R9 adopts dual ES9038Pro flagship 32-bit DAC chips from ESS Sabre Technologies. The ES9038Pro is a trusted chipset that has garnered a lot of praise for its impressive sound signal decoding performance. FiiO has implemented the same chipset in its other flagship devices such as the M17 portable audio player.

FiiO has equipped the device with a THX788+ truly desktop amp chipset. It is implemented in an 8-channel design to provide a strong amplification to the signal. FiiO R9 has a rated output of up to 7300mW through the 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm balanced ports.

XMOS USB Processor

FiiO R9 comes with the latest-generation USB signal processor chipset. It comes equipped with XMOS XU316 16-core 3rd-gen processor. It enables smoother sound signal processing and supports 32-bit PCM and native DSD signal decoding on the device.

HDMI ARC Input

Along with the regular USB, Coaxial, and Optical input options, the new FiiO R9 also supports HDMI ARC for digital sound signal input on the device. It allows for a more convenient TV connection mode for the users.

FiiO R9 is an exquisitely built digital desktop streamer. The device has a luxurious two-tone liquid metal body with colorful ring LED around the knobs and also a colorful LED strip on the front. The R9 looks spectacular from every angle and defeinitely elevates the look of your setup with its premium aura.
