While the amount of digital content is virtually limitless, the R1S's search function makes it easy to navigate and save using the RotoDial controller or optional remote control.
The extraordinary performance is guaranteed by Ruark's experience in Hi Fi: R1S offers a truly natural sound of the highest level. Thanks to the adaptive equalizer - Adaptive EQ - the response is automatically calibrated at each volume level but it is still possible to customize the performance by manually adjusting bass and treble.
The heart of R1S is a dynamic linear amplifier that uses adaptive equalization to provide perfect performance at all listening levels. The new NS+ driver with optimized support provides a uniform and very wide frequency response. Despite what its compact dimensions might suggest, the excellent low frequency performance makes listening pleasant and natural.
Upgraded ultra USB-C port
The USB-C port allows you to both charge devices - such as the most modern smartphones and tablets - and connect USB flash drives or play your favorite mp3 files.
Display
The high resolution color LCD display clearly shows all the information in high resolution, also available in Italian: time, alarm, stations and program information as well as Wi Fi sources, song and album covers.
The display automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on the light in the environment, so as not to disturb anyone at night.
Battery Pack
You can take R1S everywhere with you thanks to the BackPack 3 module, the optional battery tailored for Ruark's R1S and MR1 models capable of guaranteeing up to 12 hours of listening time, thus transforming it into a full-fledged portable radio.
BackPack III connects perfectly to the appropriate input and can also be left installed during subsequent recharges.
Bluetooth connections
R1S is equipped with a high-quality Bluetooth module so you can transmit music quickly and easily, without having to go through the home Internet network.
You can stream music saved on your devices or from streaming platforms installed on your smartphone or tablet.
RotoDial
R1S is equipped with the iconic RotoDial: a controller positioned on the top side that allows you to manage playback. It allows you to browse between the various stations - FM, DAB+ or Internet Radio - as well as adjust the volume and power on of the device.
It also allows you to quickly and easily set up to two alarms.
Top clock radio
The color LCD display clearly shows the time and allows you to set an alarm, using any radio station as an alarm.
This feature combined with the ability to automatically adjust the screen brightness to adapt to varying ambient light levels make it the best way to wake up in a good mood.
If instead we want to stay in bed... we can set the sleep timer so we can fall asleep peacefully with the radio playing in the background.
FM, DAB+, Internet Radio and Podcasts
The R1S tuner allows digital and analogue reception of DAB+ and FM stations. Furthermore, thanks to Internet Radio support, it allows access to stations from all over the world and includes a source dedicated to Podcasts.
RotoDial and Remote Control
The trademark RotoDial control system makes the R1 really easy to use even without using the dedicated App. To avoid constantly getting up from your listening position, the ultra-compact infrared remote control is available as an option.
