JJ-Tesla EL844 Tubes

The JJ EL844 is characterized by smooth, pleasing mids, bright highs, and a solid low end. Compared to a JJ EL84 tube, it delivers 25% less output power and reaches saturation earlier.

This means you’ll have less clean headroom, but more pronounced tube distortion at lower volume levels compared to an EL84.

It is a direct drop-in replacement for most EL84 amplifiers, whether cathode-biased or fixed-bias. However, always check the specifications of your amplifier before installing it.
