This tube is as close to an NOS Mullard as you can get although I have to given mention to the Svetlana EL34. It’s very good the way the JJ tubes break up better. They are very smooth and have the biggest low end of any current production EL34. The JJ E34L is the right choice for most applications simply because of it's extended low end and the fact that it's tighter and punchier.

JJ Electronic was formed in 1993 out of the privatization of Tesla company. It is located in the heart of Europe, in the Slovak Republic. JJ Testing
Every tube is electrically tested for parameters such as isolation characteristics, the electrode's current levels covering the entire operating curve, the condition of the vacuum, cathode emission capability, filament voltage and current levels. A microphonic test is performed on every tube. All tubes are then further burned-in for a period of 24 hours at the nominal specified operating voltage and current levels. Every month, a random sample is taken from the production to perform a life test of 5 000 hours at nominal operating conditions or 1000 hours at maximum specified levels.

- PlayStereoBuongiorno Armando, alcuni produttori nel tempo hanno marchiato le loro valvole EL34 come EL34B, ad esempio Tungsol. Questa sigla contraddistingue una valvola che, pur rimanendo perfettamente compatibile con qualsiasi altra EL34, presenta lievi differenze elettriche, che poi possono tradursi in differenze sonore, fermo restando che una EL34 di un produttore suonerà comunque in modo diverso da quella di un altro produttore, a prescindere dalla sigla A o B.Per questo, a meno che il produttore di un apparecchio non raccomando esplicitamente il montaggio di EL34B, il nostro suggerimento è quello di installare le migliori EL34, considerando anche il prezzo di acquisto e la reputazione di solidità che esse possiedono.
