Actually planed to use these cones for my CDP-which in fact makes it sound more dynamic and much more brilliant. I never thought about the amp to be responsible for some kind of rough soundin my chain, especially with voices and classical music... But after trying them with my Unison Unico P ( looks as good as it sounds- it´s from italy, of course!) it seems to be the best way to tune this kind of amp...( i tried a lot! power chord, better tube, high end fuses) postion exactly under tube and powersupply... seems to calm all resonances, which i thought would come from the CDP... now it´s just great... Combined with a scc-base ( which is in fact good, but not even to compare with the improvement with the C8s) there´s a stillness and clearness never heard before...These cones are worth every cent of their price...And i´m afraid i have to order another set for my CDP...:))
