EXPERIENCE RENOWNED HIFIMAN SHANGRI-LA PERFORMANCE AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE WITH THE NEW MINI SHANGRI-LA ELECTROSTATIC SYSTEM
HiFiMAN’s Mini Shangri-La headphones employ an electrostatic driver design. This technology functions by placing a static electric charge on a membrane situated between two perforated metal plates. When voltage is applied to these plates, the interaction of attraction and repulsion caused by the static electricity makes the membrane vibrate without any direct physical contact. This design ensures the membrane produces an exceptionally uniform sound signal, which minimizes sound diffraction and thus delivers audio with outstanding fidelity. It is crucial to highlight that electrostatic headphones require a specialized amplifier due to the necessity of several hundred volts for operation.
The membrane of HiFiMAN’s Mini Shangri-La headphones is only a few nanometers thick, a technical achievement that broadens the bandwidth beyond the audible spectrum (7Hz to 90,000Hz). This extensive bandwidth unveils the deepest octaves in your favorite recordings, revealing an array of details that were previously unheard.
