The Q Acoustics 3040c is a pair of floorstanding speakers designed to deliver a complete Hi-Fi experience even in rooms where available space calls for a more compact solution. They offer a compact floorstanding design for listeners who want greater sonic presence than standmount speakers can provide, without having to accommodate an especially bulky cabinet.

The acoustic design of the Q Acoustics 3040c features two 120 mm mid/bass drivers with C³ (Continuous Curved Cone) profiles. This technology has been developed to deliver a more controlled low-frequency response and a natural transition to the tweeter. The cone's distinctive geometry also promotes wide sound dispersion and more precise midrange reproduction, allowing the 3040c to reproduce vocals, acoustic instruments and movie soundtracks with ease.

The 22 mm tweeter, meanwhile, draws on the design principles of the Concept series. It is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the front baffle to reduce the influence of vibrations generated by the mid/bass drivers. The result is cleaner high-frequency reproduction and better integration around the crossover region.

The Q Acoustics 3040c cabinet also incorporates the P2P (Point to Point) bracing system, with reinforcements positioned in areas most susceptible to vibration. This structure helps reduce unwanted resonances and improve stereo imaging accuracy. In addition, HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser) technology limits internal pressure build-up and the formation of standing waves, contributing to a smoother frequency response.

With a sensitivity of 88 dB, a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and a recommended amplifier power of 25–120 W, the Q Acoustics 3040c can be paired with a wide range of integrated amplifiers and AV receivers. Its frequency response of 43 Hz to 30 kHz ensures a full-range presentation for both music listening and home cinema playback.
