Description

The new C3 (pronounced "C-cubed") Continuous Curved Cone™ mid/bass profile, developed from scratch, delivers superior bass dynamics and smoother integration with the high-frequency driver. Based on design principles from the latest Concept series, the sealed high-frequency driver is mechanically isolated from the baffle, preventing modulation from the mid/bass driver. The low-coloration cabinet features P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing, which minimizes low-frequency resonance to improve stereo imaging and soundstage. HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) ports eliminate standing wave buildup, resulting in a more even frequency response and reduced distortion. It boasts a clean, contemporary aesthetic with sophisticated satin metal finishes for the drivers. Available in four new finishes: Pin Oak, Claro Walnut, Satin White, Satin Black.

The 3000c Family

The 3000c family, ideal as an entry point into modern audio or as an affordable speaker upgrade, includes the 3010c bookshelf, 3020c standmount, the larger 3030c standmount, the 3050c floorstander, with the 3090c center channel completing the line for a home cinema speaker set. Whether in a stereo or 5.1 configuration, the 3000c series has the talent to bring your music or movies vividly to life.

Authentic Innovation

This new speaker series features the C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ mid/bass driver design, first introduced in the award-winning 5000 series and M40 micro-tower speakers. Q Acoustics’ latest technical platform elevates the 3000c series above its peers, delivering a sound defined by articulate and fast midrange, powerful yet controlled bass, smooth and detailed highs, along with an exceptional soundstage never before experienced at this level.

Contemporary Look

The 3000c series evolves the look and feel of the 3000i to reflect evolving interior design tastes. Continuing Q Acoustics’ minimalist design ethos and echoing the stripped-back nature of the C3 profile, the 3000c is visually cleaner with no visible joints or screws. A new single-piece driver finish in satin nickel and satin chrome (white only) provides a refined enhancement to the front of the cabinet, while all new finishes elevate the overall design of the range.

Finishes to Suit Any Interior

Available in four modern, high-quality finishes, the 3000c series will complement any living space. The introduction of lighter (Pin Oak) and darker (Claro Rosewood) wood veneers, alongside the new but classic Satin White and Satin Black finishes first seen in the 5000 series, reflects the contemporary design nature of this new speaker family.

C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ of the 3000c Series

A true advancement in mid/bass driver design, the C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ profile is the result of extensive research and expert engineering to combine the bass performance advantages of a traditional straight conical cone with the mid/high frequency control of a flared cone. By creating a single smooth continuous curved profile, the benefits are multiple. First, its excellent dispersion along with well-controlled frequency response allows smoother integration with the tweeter. Deep bass dynamics are also enhanced, providing tighter, more controlled low frequencies that allow greater flexibility in speaker placement near room boundaries.

Mid/Bass Driver Design

The revolutionary C3 cone is central to the 3000c mid/bass driver design. The cone geometry requires exceptional driving force for optimal performance, so substantial magnets are paired with the voice coils. The control provided by the large magnets ensures good dynamic response, high excursion, and tight bass. In addition, the large magnets ensure the pole plate and yoke are nearly saturated, reducing flux modulation and harmonic distortion.

High-Frequency Driver Design

Based on the tweeter design principles found in the latest Concept series, the high-frequency driver is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated (floating) from the baffle to prevent internal pressure modulation from inside the cabinet and the adjacent mid/bass driver. The internal chamber is also carefully ventilated for lower distortion, with a lower crossover point for seamless integration across the crossover region.

P2P™ (Point to Point) Bracing

The P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing used throughout the 3000c series supports cabinet areas that require reinforcement, making the new cabinets exceptionally rigid, improving stereo image focus, and giving the soundstage greater precision than ever before.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser)

The 3050c, like all floorstanding speakers, is vulnerable to internal pressure buildup causing unwanted standing waves and coloration. To prevent this, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) ports are installed inside the cabinet to cancel internal pressure and improve frequency response.
