The surface material of the WS-1KM uses the highest-grade domestically produced silk fabric.

"I use it together with slatted acoustic panels in a recording booth of about three tatami mats in size. Previously, I had tuned the room to avoid making it too acoustically dead, but the sound tended to spread too much overall, and I wanted the recorded image to come slightly more forward, which is why I started using this product.
