KGSSHV Carbon amplifier for electrostatic headphones. 

For those who don't know this is diy amp designed by the scientist Kevin Gilmore and Birgir. 

It's much more powerful than anything Stax sells. 

There are many reviews of pairing it with specially with 007 and 009 STAX headphones. 

Specifications:

Output stage: 20mA

Offset: <0.2V-0.3V

Bias test point: 582V

Temp on amp mosfets: ~60C

Temp on psu mosfets: ~40C

Temp on heatsinks ~50C

This is with no cover on top and room temp at 26c (so expect some increase in temp on the mosfets)

Power consumption: 79W

Rock stable psu at +/-401V
