The NOS Mullard E88CC/01 / 6922 / CV2493 is a new never used tube, with low noise and long lasting, in original military box. Wonderful sonic quality, within the best of all times. Can be used in any E88CC/ECC88/6922/6DJ8 circuit/application.
Mullard CV2493 / E88CC-01 / 6922 / CCa single or matched pair brand new never used in Swedish Royal Air Force two-set styrofoam boxes with pristine gold pins and pin guards. Mullard never made better than these. They were produced at the Mullard Mitcham factory around mid 1970's as matched sets and have the famous dimpled disc getter. They have been recently released from the Royal Air Force's military surplus, so they are brand new with 10,000+ hours of life left on them.
The E88CC-01 / CV2493 is the premium version the Mullard E88CC / 6922 (think CCa from Siemens). They have all the body, weight, bass, impact, soul and amazing 3-D midrange that Mullard is famous for, yet the E88CC-01 adds an extended, airy, refined and detailed top end to give a fully balanced and comprehensive performance. You will be floored by their sound and will instantly know they are the best Mullards ever made in the 6DJ8 family.
These were matched at the factory and then retested every 5 years or so while they were on active duty with the Air Force, so they are at the best of the best and ready for action. We have fully retested and rematched them also for noise, gas and shorts.

A New Old Stock (N.O.S.) tube is an unused tube no longer in production. A N.O.S. tube is good today as it was originally, because the glass sealing techniques perfected long ago have been in use for years and years. A N.O.S. tube can potentially last a lot longer than modern tubes. When we have available a N.O.S. tube stock that comes from the same production run we carefully select them for gain, for section-to-section uniformity and for sensitivity to microphonics. Furthermore, a selected pair of tubes will only include low noise ones.
