When performance and reliability are essential,
you need the CAIG Essentials.
Simple contact "cleaners" wash away surface dirt, dust, and grime, but prove ineffective for removing oxidation and metal sulfides. These tough contaminants actually attach to, and become an integral part of, the contact metal. This increases service calls for warranty repairs that could have been prevented, translating into millions of dollars of lost revenue for service organizations. The only true method of eliminating oxidation and surface sulfides is by chemical action and reaction, and that's what puts CAIG products in a class by themselves. So when you want to do general cleaning and remove dust, dirt, and grime, any contact cleaner will do. But when you need to cure contact related problems and dramatically improve equipment performance, CHOOSE CAIG. The CAIG Essentials will improve the performance and reliability of ALL your electronic devices and equipment, GUARANTEED.
The purpose of the CAIG Essentials is to help you spend more time enjoying your electronic equipment and less time maintaining it.
If you already have a problem with contacts or connectors in your electronic equipment, the CAIG Essentials will resolve It, GUARANTEED! But why not prevent problems? New devices and equipment should be treated to prevent future headaches. Many times the failure of a $1.99 part can cause an entire system to malfunction.
CAIG Essentials provide inexpensive insurance for these industries:
- Audio/Video
- Computers
- Automotive
- Communications
- Marine
- Electrical
- Photography
- Medical
- Security
- Avionics
The CAIG Essentials insurance policy does not require you to fill out mountains of paper work or even get a physical. In fact, there are onlythree steps necessary to get coverage.
The first step is to use DeoxIT Power Booster. Any contacts and connectors that conduct electricity are candidates. DeoxIT Power Booster cleans the surface, removes oxidation, and leaves a light, microscopic layer of protection.
Directions for use:
Turn off device. Apply product, wait 2 minutes, then wipe with a clean lint-free cloth. Repeat this process until the cloth comes out clean. Turn on device.
If you enjoy cleaning your contacts and connectors on a regular basis, then read no further. If however, you prefer to spend your time using your equipment rather than maintaining it, proceed reading the Step Two.
Step two involves applying either ProGold or PreservIT. Both are companion products to DeoxIT Power Booster, and add longer lasting protection. The determining factor in the selection of ProGold or PreservIT, is the environment to which the contact and connector will be exposed.
For most indoor uses, ProGold is the product of choice. ProGold not only keeps your contacts and connectors in excellent condition, it improves their performance.
For "harsh environments" (eg. pollutants, salt air, high humidity, outdoor use, extreme temperatures, etc.) use PreservIT. PreservITprovides maximum protection for your metal contacts and connectors.
Directions for use:
The directions to use either product are the same. After pre-treating with DeoxIT Power Booster, apply the ProGold or PreservIT. Wipe off any excess with a clean lint free cloth. Wait two minutes. Turn on device.
And to learn about the final member of the CAIG Essentials:
The third step in the CAIG Essentials is CaiLube MCL. While DeoxIT Power Booster, ProGold and PreservIT are for treatment of metal surfaces, CaiLube MCL is designed for use on conductive plastics and carbon based controls.
CaiLube MCL is a precision lubricant for moving contact surfaces (faders, switches, potentiometers and other mechanisms with sliding surfaces). It replenishes lubrication lost on surfaces that have been cleaned with solvents or other cleaning solutions.
- CaiLube MCL Mantains optimum signal quality
- CaiLube MCL Mantains tactile feel
Directions for use:
Turn off equipment. Apply a small amount of CaiLube MCL to plastic surfaces. Operate the part or device to distribute lubricant over the surface. For best results, wait a few seconds, then reapply. Wipe off excess with a clean lint-free cloth. Wait two minutes. Turn on device.
By now you may have an idea of which products you need.
