- Power tubes

All pairs and quartets of power tubes sold on playstereo.com are matched using a digital high precision tester, measuring in real working conditions both the plate current and the transconductance value. The tester is one of the best available today because it can match tubes to 1% accuracy on both parameters. All selection gears are always connected to a 220V electro-mechanical voltage regulator. You will find indicated all measured values for every tube you purchase with absolute precision guaranteed. In this way you are sure to buy only precision selected tubes, and in the future you could also require us a certain spare tube with specified current values, without substituting the entire quartet.

- Signal tubes

Regarding the signal tubes, we accurately measure the gain for every valve section, and also we perform the balance test for cathode current match. Not only: we listen to every tube to find the noise and microphonic components. Therefore, only the tubes with a low threshold of noise and microphonic become selected and will be matched with identically gain ones. While testing, selecting and matching processes take much longer to do and many tubes weeded out, only in this way we can offer to you the certainty to buy only highly precision selected tubes with low noise and microphonic.

- New Old Stock (N.O.S.) Tubes

When we buy NOS tube stocks coming from the same production run, we apply on them the same selection process done on current production valves. In this way, if you use to listen to new-old-stock tubes, you can be sure that they are absolutely new and precision selected tubes.
